In Memory of our Fallen Heroes.
They rest in peace! each warrior brave
Each sailor ’neath the ocean wave
A victory won, their arms laid down,
Each faithful soul receives his crown.
They rest in peace! and while we shed
The tears of sorrow for our dead,
Across the anguish of our pain,
We hear the victors glad refrain.
They rest in peace! the warfare o’er
No sound of battle wakes them more,
In God’s eternal Light they dwell
Whose glories pass what tongue can tell.
