The text “W99” (in grey pencil) on the reverse of the photograph appears to be an extraneous notation, possibly made by the original owner, a collector, or a seller.
Cudgewa = a town in north-east Victoria, which is located north-east of Berringama and south-west of Towong

Cudgewa is in the north east of Victoria in the foothills of the Australian Alps, close to the town of Corryong, the major shopping town in the area. Nowhere near Warrnambool or Terang.
