Little Maid
Little maid, all unafraid, with happy smiling face;
Little maid in bright brocade, a miracle of grace;
May this world never bring you harm
And may you always keep your charm,
Nor sorrow leave a trace.
Little maid all undismayed, with eager trusting mind;
Little maid, how we have prayed that you will always find
The way to better things in life
And come out victor in the strife,
Your clouds all silver-lined.
