Dreams.
When dreams come true, my dearest —
When heart meets heart again,
Shall we forget the parting —
Shall we forget the pain?
Those days of dark estrangement,
And nights of vain regret,
In some far-distant country,
Dear love shall we forget?
When storms of Life are over,
And all its conflicts past,
Shall severed hearts find comfort,
When dreams come true at last?
In God’s good time, my dearest,
The clouds will pass away.
And dreams shall find fruition
In Heaven’s eternal day.
