Pretty Pet’s Wedding Party
When the King made Pretty Pet
His lovely bride and Queen,
All the palace lights shone out,
The brightest ever seen,
And the Glow-worms all around,
Had such a happy time,
While the Fairies everywhere,
Tripped round till midnight’s chime.
Then to supper they all went,
Refreshments to partake;
There a joyful time they spent,
And ate some Fairy-cake.
Then jellies were passed round to all,
And drinks and ice-cream too;
They all then said, “We’ll go off now,
Some lovely deeds to do.”
They went to all the girls and boys,
And, into each one’s ear,
Whispered, “Dream of the Fairies, and
Smile in your sleep, my dear.”
