The King has been pleased to grant to the Right Reverend Father in God, Doctor James Cornwallis, Bishop of Lichfield and Coventry, the Deanry of the Cathedral Church of Durham, void by the Death of the Right Reverend Doctor John Hinchliffe, Bishop of Peterborough, late Dean thereof.
The King has been pleased to appoint John Hunter, Esq; to be Captain-General and Governor in Chief of the Territory of New South Wales, in the room of Arthur Phillips, Esq; resigned.
