“Eagle Rock” was written by Ross Wilson (born in Melbourne, Victoria, in 1947), performed by Daddy Cool (with Ross Wilson as lead singer), and was released as a single in late May 1971. It hit the top of the charts in June 1971 and stayed at number 1 on the national charts for 8 weeks (it was number 1 on the Melbourne charts for 17 weeks).
