Died in the cells.
Included in the list of persons charged in the City Police Court on Monday was the name of Robert Craig, aged 47, a gardener.
On Craig’s name being called Subinspector Fraser informed the presiding magistrate, Mr. H. L. Archdall, that he had died in the watchhouse at 5 a.m. to-day.
Craig was in custody on a charge of drunkenness.
