“Sounds of Then” (often referred to as “This Is Australia”, after a line in the song) was written by Mark Callaghan (from Bundaberg, Queensland; born in England), performed by Gang Gajang (with Mark Callaghan as lead singer), and was released on their self-titled debut album “Gang Gajang” (1985); it was also released as a single (1985).
