Branches [poem by Rex Ingamells]

[Editor: This poem by Rex Ingamells was published in Forgotten People (1936).]

Branches

The beauty of sunset
Lingers on old
Wonder-webbed branches,
Dazzling with gold.

But stars in the moonset
Struggle in vain,
Clawed close into branches
Which huddle insane.
